Submitter Statement : The Artist Alliance is a fast paced comedic mockumentary, that follows three clueless artist from Denmark trying to succeed the American dream. In it’s purest form, the story is about our own naive journey as an artist. The film was shot guerilla style in the streets of New York, most of the dialog is improvised and many things were figured out on the spot. The characters are over exaggerated and stereotypical, in order to give some good laughs and be relatable. Everyone knows an artist who takes themselves way too seriously, or someone from their hometown moving to cities like New York and Los Angeles to pursue their dream, even though they didn’t have any talent. We were inspired by films like ¨Borat¨ and ¨What we do in the shadows¨. We wanted the real settings that ¨Borat¨ had, and the relationship between the characters of ¨What we do in the shadows¨. What we did diffrent was having the crew members being part of the cast, which gives the opportunity for a lot of funny scenarios.We hope the audience will laugh as much as we did filming it, and maybe even inspire them to work with their friends.

Submitter Biography : Daniel and Christopher are 24-years-old and from Denmark. Daniel is situated in Los Angeles and Christopher in Berlin. They met at the European Film College in Denmark 2015. European Film College sent Daniels graduation film ¨Latte og Leverpostej¨ To Odense Film Festival to be part of the talent program. Since then Daniel has worked both as a director, editor and DP on several commercials for brands as Dayz Before and Adidas. He has also acted in several short films, and had a supporting role in a feature film made by British director Chris Waitt, that will premiere in 2018. Since leaving the European Film College, Christopher’s first shortfilm ¨What Mother Doesn’t Know¨, was nominated at the Ekko Shortlist awards. He has worked on several projects as aproducer, director, DOP and 1 AD on commercials, short films and musicvideos. Recently he finished another shortfilm ¨Run in the Light¨, whichhe produced and directed.Chris and Daniel started their partnership in 2017 when they made a web series together called Klub Party. The series has been sold to CPH Film studio. After the Web series, the natural step for them was to make a short film together. And so they did.
