Submitter Statement : "That Darn Girlfriend" is an homage to those classic 1960s/70s TV sitcoms. Each episode is like a video comic strip. Our goal with this series is not only to entertain, but to elicit a "feel good" nostalgia that brings back memories of growing up.

Submitter Biography : I began life as a filmmaker, shooting movies in my backyard with my sister and brothers as my co-stars. My first feature (well, mini-feature) was Law Of The Ninja which I produced, directed and starred in while growing up in Hawaii. The whole process was so much fun, I decided to do it professionally.Hawaii was also where I began my martial arts training. I started with Okinawan Kenpo Karate and Kobudo (weapons), earning my 2nd Degree Black Belt.My wife Pamela & I created our own web series "That Darn Girlfriend" along with several short films which we produced through our production company Four Scorpio Productions. We have our own YouTube channel and are producing original content, as well as developing our own film projects including our sci-fi martial arts film "Cyber Fighter" which is being done as a short film to eventually develop into a feature film. We belong to We Make Movies, a Hollywood based film collective dedicated to producing independent film. We’re a creative couple who have worked together many times on stage, TV and film.Currently, I’m returning to my filmmaker roots as I am developing my own martial arts feature comedy Cyber Fighter, where I’ll be playing a clumsy temp worker who gets an assignment at a defense company where I volunteer to get black belt fighting ability downloaded to my brain.Web series are proving to be the wave of the future as I’ve been a series regular on several, including Jupiter’s Ghost, Diary Of A Henchman, and Buona Sera News.This is an exciting time in the Entertainment Industry, as technology is opening many doors to diverse work opportunities. I’m really looking forward to the future!
