Submitter Biography : Mathieu has written and directed seven short films, many of which have earned prizes and acclaim both at home and abroad. His work in advertising has also garnered prestigious awards. Mathieu developed, co-wrote and directed Deluxe Motion, an animated series nominated for the Prix Gémeaux, the top television industry award in Québec. He won the 2017 Prix Numix, another important award in Québec, for the best work in new media. Deluxe Motion has gone on to make its mark on the international scene, earning kudos at festivals around the world including Annecy, Miami WebFest, Berlin WebFest, Melbourne WebFest, and Seoul International Animation Festival. He currently teaches new media at the École nationale de l'humour in Montréal.
