Synopsis : Sure Beile - the woman, the wife, the matriarch. Having lost her mother at childbirth, Sure "Sarita" Rawet was initially raised by her father, who eventually remarried and grew a new family. She never knew about what happened, until one day at age 8, when she found her birth certificate in a drawer. Fearing being treated differently from her siblings, she kept the secret to herself nearly half her entire life, avoiding any opportunities to be told about it. With her peculiar way of facing life, Sarita overcame her loss and became who she is, always smiling and positive. And this attitude also helped her deal with the loss of a grandson.

Submitter Statement : Making this film was a really life changing experience. I decided to make it as a way to register Sarita's unique way of facing life and the things she taught me on screen. I ended up finding out a lot about myself in the process, and going back to my childhood with her.

Submitter Biography : Samy started his career working as a post-production assistant in a big post-production company in Brazil, where he quickly became an editor. From 2006 to 2008 he attended the American Film Institute Conservatory in Los Angeles, where he received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film Editing. He continued living in Hollywood until 2011, having worked on numerous film projects, from blockbuster studio movies to independent documentaries and shorts. One of his contributions was on the documentary “Wasteland”, directed by Lucy Walker, about the work of artist Vik Muniz with landfill workers, which got nominated for Oscar in 2010. Back in Brazil since 2011, he continued his career as a film editor, having worked on many important movies and TV series directed by big name directors such as Fernando Meirelles and Bruno Barreto. Recently, Samy has been devoting himself to directing, in a career move aiming for more creative freedom.
