Submitter Statement : Setting out to make a high school drama I just had one thing in mind - create content that would have made my writing/directing idol John Hughes proud!

Submitter Biography : Laura Clelland is a Producer and Director, passionate about creating entertaining and engaging content. Laura has been freelancing in production for nearly two decades on Australian and International Television Commercials, TV Series, Web series and Features. Laura’s most recent work as Director, Co-Producer, Co-Writer and Editor on the Screen Australia funded teen dramedy series ‘Life of Jess’ has received an Award of Excellence from The IndieFEST Film Awards, Best Web Series Promo award at the New Media Film Festival and Best Dramedy award at the Asia Web Awards. 'Life of Jess’ taps directly into the teen market by being inspiring, empowering and positive. The focus is on strong, genuine and true to life Australian teen voices, with a fresh approach to narrative content for both Australian and international audiences.
